The name is Czech for "woven" or "braided," and the beer is pitched as an exercise in pushing NEIPA hopping further, finding ways to load still more hop character onto the cold side without excessive losses or a cost blow-out. To do it they leaned on concentrated lupulin formats: Mosaic in Cryo form, the Peacharine Hop, and pellets of Citra and Ekuanot, chasing a juicy, hop-saturated hit of peach, tropical fruit and citrus over a soft, hazy body. The Cryo angle is the engineering tell: concentrated lupulin brings the oil and resin with far less vegetal matter, so you get the aromatic payload with less trub and less beer soaked up in the dry hop, precisely the efficiency they're describing.
My thoughts
In the glass it lived up to the billing: a pale-gold pour, distinctly hazy, capped with a generous, well-formed head that stuck around. The nose leads with tropical fruit, braided through with a bright citrus lift and a delicate peach note sitting just underneath, well, exactly the woven aromatic the brand promises. Bitterness is kept deliberately low, which lets all that fruit sit front and centre without anything sharp elbowing its way in, and the beer drinks soft and juicy rather than resinous. This is my first proper run through Sibeeria's range, I've only worked through three of their beers so far, but all three have been cleanly and thoughtfully made, and that is early evidence this is a brewery I'll be keeping a close eye on.
