From the brewery

A double-mashed, ten percent ABV, hazy juice-monster of a Triple IPA, double dry hopped with massive amounts of Galaxy, Citra and Mosaic hops.

My thoughts

Carniflex from APEX is an excellent beer for those who enjoy hops in full voice. It opens with a generous wave of tropical fruit and bright citrus on the nose, then follows through with the same bold character on the palate. What makes it especially satisfying, however, is the malt base beneath it: full-bodied enough to give the beer real substance, yet never so heavy that it dulls the hop expression. The result is a beer that feels big, expressive and unapologetically modern, while remaining dangerously drinkable for something so intense. A thoroughly enjoyable hoppy beer, with both power and balance.
